According to the U.S. Cotton Export Weekly Report released by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on November 18, 2021, during the week of November 5 to November 11, 2021, the net contracted sales of U.S. upland cotton in 2021/2022 was 136.7 thousand Packages, up 7% from last week and down 46% from the average of the previous four weeks. Among them, the countries and regions with increased signings include Vietnam (40.4 thousand bales, including 0.6 thousand bales re-exported from Thailand, 0.2 thousand bales re-exported from Japan, and 0.1 thousand bales re-exported from mainland China), Turkey (30.8 thousand bales, including 4.4 thousand bales re-exported from Vietnam), mainland China (13.5 thousand bales), Nicaragua (13.2 thousand bales, including 8.8 thousand bales re-exported from Vietnam), and Indonesia (6.5 thousand bales). Net contracted sales of upland cotton in 2022/2023 are 7.2 thousand bales, including Turkey (4.4 thousand bales) and Colombia (2.8 thousand bales).

The export shipment of upland cotton this week was 77.9 thousand bales, a decrease of 11% from last week and a decrease of 24% from the average level of the previous four weeks. Mainly shipped to Mexico (30.2 thousand bales), mainland China (20.5 thousand bales), Vietnam (6.5 thousand bales), Pakistan (6.3 thousand bales), and Thailand (2.1 thousand bales).

U.S. Pima cotton net contracted sales for the week were 20.6,000 bales, a significant increase from last week and an increase of 17% from the average level of the previous four weeks. The main increases were Peru (8.2 thousand bales), India (8.1 thousand bales), Turkey (1.3 thousand bales), Germany (1.1 thousand bales), and mainland China (0.9 thousand bales).
