Hot air dryer – hanging hot air dryer

The characteristic of the hanging hot air dryer is that the fabric is hung and dried loosely in the drying room. The fabric bears very little tension and the tissue structure is not easily deformed. It is suitable for drying medium-length wool-like fabrics, plush fabrics and some chemical fiber fabrics, silk fabrics, knitted fabrics and other fabrics. But the speed is low, generally 20~60m/min. Using water vapor as the heat source, the temperature in the drying room is generally 100~120℃.
This type of dryer can be divided into long loop and short loop according to the shape of the fabric loop. According to the number of hanging layers of the fabric, it can be divided into single layer and multi-layer. The selection is mainly based on the thickness, weight, tension requirements and difficulty of loop formation of the fabric.
1. Suspended long ring hot air dryer
As shown in Figure 5-35. The two ends of the small guide roller for hanging the fabric are connected by chains to form a circular guide roller chain. According to the different loop length requirements of the fabric, the linear speed difference between the cloth feed and the guide roller chain can be adjusted through the speed change device. The length of the cloth ring is generally 1.5~2m. In addition to the cloth feeding roller, the cloth feeding and looping device can also use the air jet looping device for fabrics that are not suitable for rolling. In order to prevent the guide roller on the transmission chain from adhering to resin or other finishing agents, and to prevent uneven drying from causing migration of resin or other finishing agents, one end of the guide roller is equipped with a small sprocket, which meshes with the fixed chain, or It is equipped with gears and meshes with the fixed rack, so that the guide roller can rotate at medium and low speeds when driven by the transmission chain. This dryer can be used for loose drying or baking of high-grade cotton fabrics, polyester/cotton fabrics, silk, nylon, viscose fiber and other fabrics.

The drying room has a fabric capacity of 240m.
This type of dryer is characterized by simple structure, easy maintenance, and the equipment is not easily damaged. However, the heat loss in the drying room is large and the temperature is not easy to rise.
2. Suspended single-layer short-ring hot air dryer
As shown in Figure 5-36. During drying, the cloth loop is shorter. In fact, the fabric is supported by the slowly rotating guide rollers on the guide roller circulation chain. Between the two rollers, the fabric hangs slightly (Figure 5-37). Therefore, the guide roller is often called the idler roller. Hot air is sprayed from the air nozzles on the upper and lower sides of the fabric to both sides of the fabric, with wind speeds of about 13m/s and 7m/s respectively, so that the short loops of the fabric are not blown. In addition to the single-layer structure, this short-ring hot air dryer also has a multi-layer structure from double to five layers, as shown in Figure 5-38. This kind of dryer has a more compact structure and takes up less space. However, because the drying room is high, operation and maintenance are inconvenient.

The speed of the suspended hot air dryer is low, most parts have a long life, and its structure is similar to the cloth (needle) clip-type hot air dryer. The dryer is similar. For equipment maintenance methods, please refer to Table 5-3 and Table 5-4.
