Based on the advantages of Sichuan Province’s high-quality silkworm cocoon production base, Xingwen County “works hard and acts scientifically” to smoothen the production, processing, circulation and other industrial chains of the sericulture industry, and promote the entire sericulture industry chain to be “high-quality, large-scale, ecological and efficient” development, and strive to create the “Shihai Silver Pearl” sericulture industry.
1. Build a high-quality demonstration park. Integrate funds to solve infrastructure problems such as roads, water conservancy, parking of agricultural machinery, and agricultural product transfer sites, and build five core demonstration parks for the sericulture industry, including Jiusi City and Zhoujia Town. The county’s stable sericulture area is 100,000 acres, and Zhoujia Town The Sericulture Modern Agricultural Park successfully applied for a municipal modern agricultural park and is now making every effort to build a five-star-Lotus mulberry pig breeding cycle modern park.
2. Policies guarantee the improvement of quality. Agricultural industry support policies have been introduced to provide subsidies of 500 yuan/acre for the renovation of old mulberry gardens in key sericulture towns, 3,000 yuan/mu for standard silkworm sheds, 20,000 yuan/unit for small silkworm co-breeding rooms, and 500 yuan/acre for Leshan black oil mulberry and Sichuan 7657 , mulberry (Tongxiang Qing) and other old varieties were grafted and improved to promote the quality and efficiency of old mulberry orchards. 10,000 acres of low-yielding mulberry orchards were renovated, and 6,964 supporting standardized silkworm sheds and 235 co-nurturing rooms were built.
3. Cultivation of innovative models. Explore the model of village collective asset companies planting mulberries and building gardens, silk companies supporting sericulture facilities, returning migrant workers renting mulberry gardens to raise sericulture, and cultivating and strengthening new sericulture business entities such as leading enterprises, professional cooperatives, and family farms (large sericulture households). Give full play to the role of flocks of geese to promote large-scale breeding. At present, it has successfully cultivated 1 municipal leading enterprise, 6 sericulture professional cooperatives, 20 sericulture family farms, 10,274 sericulture operating households with 40,855 people, and more than 530 migrant workers returning home.
